Two students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology have died in a deadly explosion in the Ashanti Region.

The news was first reported by citinewsroom.com and confirmed by the Juaben District Police Commander, DSP Broni Honnu

The two students were on an industrial attachment at the Juaben Oil Mills when they met their untimely deaths.

One other person was pronounced dead on Wednesday morning together with the 2 KNUST students. 9 people got injured with various degrees of injuries.

4 who were in critical condition were transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.

“The bodies have been sent to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. Two students of the KNUST were involved [in the incident]. They were both on an industrial attachment,” the district police commander said.
