The Ghana Black Stars camp are in a state of shock due to a decision made by their Head Coach C K Akonor who reportedly sacked the former Atletico Madrid player and now Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Teye Partey from their camp.

Thomas Partey, vice captain to Andre Dede Ayew arrived very late for their training session at the camp, reports said. He arrived at the final training when the team was ready to fly to Rabat for an international friendly. This got the head coach furious which ultimately led to the sacking.

Further reports indicate the vice Black star captain did not discuss the reasons of his disappearance to the coach even though he told the coach he had some personal issues.

The Black Stars were preparing for a double clash with Morocco and Ivory Coast in two seperate international friendlies while camping in Cape coast in the Central region.

The Black Stars flew to Rabat today to clash with the Atlas Lions of Morocco on Tuesday, June 8, 2021.
On Saturday, June 12, the Black Stars will host the Elephants of Ivory Coast at the Cape coast for the second international friendly.
